Bio

Cindy’s first big break came when she was nine and her grandmother decided to do a puppet show with her granddaughter. She cast Cindy as the Wicked Witch in production of “Hansel & Gretl.” Not only did Cindy manipulate the marionette, she cackled her way through the backing track! Since then she’s found all kinds of ways to tell stories: acting with Chicago theatre companies, adapting books for the stage with Moving Dock Theatre Co., performing her own solo work and now narrating audiobooks.

 

When she’s not telling stories, Cindy’s looking for those of her ancestors in documents and old newspapers--or making new ones with her husband and two (now nearly grown) kids.
